The Exmouth Shanty Men

Devon’s ‘original buoy band’ first burst on to the folk scene in 2007 and their continually growing reputation has been founded on the authenticity and integrity of their performance.

They have played the 2012 Olympics in Weymouth & the Tall Ships Regatta in both Waterford (Eire) & Falmouth (England); and many Festivals across the UK and Europe including Sidmouth, Warwick, Wadebridge, Falmouth, Wickham, Lichfield L2F, Banbury, Chippenham and Weymouth (England); Paimpol, Brest & Douarnenez (France); Oostende & Blankenberge (Belgium); Appingedam (Holland); Travemünde (Germany) and Krakow (Poland).

Featured regularly in print media as well as radio and TV at home & abroad, in 2014 they gained international recognition when they were presented with the “Stan Hugil Award” for the ‘most authentic shanties’ at the highly respected Krakow International Shanty Festival.
